Top 5 Geek Picks Coming to Netflix in April
The latest announcements on what is coming to Netflix in April, and leaving Netflix in April, are [...]
Gremlins
(Available 4/1)
Joe Dante and Chris Columbus' 1984 cult-classic horror comedy is a film that is so unique to its decade that we'll probably never see its like again. This is the film that helped create the PG-13 rating, after scenes of its little green monsters running amok were deemed too disturbing for adolescents and kids.
If you've never seen Gremlins, or never seen it in awhile, this is the time to give it a watch.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 2
(Avail. 4/12)
If you didn't give DC's Legends of Tomorrow a chance, you may want to reconsider and take a look at season 2 when it hits Netflix in April!
We've already written extensively about why Legends of Tomorrow has become arguably the best DC TV show out right now, with our own Charlie Ridgely breaking it down like this:
"By visiting the wild west, 2046, Pleasant Valley, and so many other times, Legends keeps fans on their toes. This also helps build hype around new storylines that are coming up... If you haven't given Legends Of Tomorrow much of a chance yet, you should re-think your decision. It gets better with each episode, and it's quickly becoming the best DC property on TV today."
'Nuff said!
Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return
(Avail. 4/14)
They're baaaaaack! MST3K creator Joel Hodgson is back with co-star new and old, in the distant future where a captive audience of human and robots are forced to by mad scientists to sit through the worst movies ever filmed.
Before there were YouTube reactions and commentary or people and their damn cell phones ruined the theater experience, there was Mystery Science Theater - and we know a lot of geeks that are all too happy to see The Return.

Bill Nye Saves the World
(Avail. 4/21)
The ultimate celebrity geek is getting hi sown talk show - what is there to discuss? Every self-respecting geek needs to get out and support this one!
That bias aside: the show actually looks pretty interesting, as Bill Nye uses celebrity guest and on location shoots to combine the talk show format with content that could actually educate viewers in something as crazy and outdated as... science!
The Prestige
(Avail. 4/21)
Christopher Nolan's 2006 mystery/thriller came right after Batman Begins catapulted him to mainstream fame - and it proved that Nolan was no mere flash in the pan, as The Prestige painted award-worthy indie character drama (in period piece format no less) across a big blockbuster-style cinematic canvas.
Even knowing the film's many dark twists, The Prestige is still a geek favorite that features major superhero actors (Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson...) in an impressive slow-burn ensemble thriller. It remains one of Nolan's best and most enduring films - so be sure to make the most of the opportunity when it's on Netflix this month.
