Fisher was on life support after it was believed that she suffered a massive heart attack on Friday during a United flight. However, the family reportedly believes that the in-flight medical emergency was not a heart attack, but rather a cardiac arrest. In other words, her heart stopped beating completely.
Upon arriving at the UCLA Medical Center she was immediately placed on a ventilator.
Her family had discussed removing life support, however, early this morning she passed away.
TMZ reports that passengers who were on the United flight say that they thought she had died on the plane. They say she didn't have a pulse for 10 minutes and her body appeared to be lifeless.
