The official title for Fast and Furious 8 has debuted, and it has made a lot of fans on social media laugh. The Fate of the Furious may sound a little cheesy, but it does fit with the franchise. Plus, it’s an irresistable pun: with the hashtag being #F8, sounded out, that sounds like “Fate,” while also still meaning “Fast 8.” Get it now? GET IT?

Regardless, this title could and should open the floodgates for more ridiculous titles in the future of the Fast and Furious franchise. With seven films under their belts, we thought we’d look forward to the next seven movies, complete with title and synopsis suggestions. Look into our crystal ball, strap in, and live life a quarter mile at a time.

F9: Fast Forward

Got a Mac keyboard? Then you know the F9 key also serves as your Fast Forward button for audio and video files. It’s such an easy pun, it’s almost like Apple designed this keyboard just for the ninth film of this series.

Synopsis Pitch:ย Forย Fast Forward, we jump ahead say five or ten years, and see where the team is at; gives you the chance to do some crazy things with each character; say The Rock’s Hobbs is in federal prison, Vin Diesel’s Dom is running some kind of corporation, Roman and Tej have their own detective “Heroes for Hire” style agency… The possibilities are endless, and you can then spend the next couple movies showing how they got there. If you wanna goย really nuts, go fifteen-twenty years in the future, with Dom teaming up with Brian and Mia’s kid, now a teenager who’s boosting cars for fun.

ย

F10 (prounded Effed In) the Furious

Borrowing from Ben Folds and yMusic,ย F10 the Furious uses a music pun for its title, which gets the kids talking because it’s also vulgar.

Synopsis Pitch:ย Finally following up on the events ofย Fate, the tenth filmย Effed In has the whole team in the worst scenarios they’ve ever been in – they’re effed. And furious. That’s all you really need, huh?

ย

Dom’s 11: Furious and Fast

Dom’s 11 borrows (very obviously) its title fromย Ocean’s 11, the mother of all heist movies.

Synopsis Pitch: This is a straight-up heist movie, something many of them have at least touched on. The theft isn’t for any item of national security, it’s just forย fun (and maybe a dash of revenge). Let them gather together and just go steal something – using a crazy car chase, of course.

ย

Furious Dozen

Fast 12 takes its name fromย Dirty Dozen, and its storyline pretty much, too.

Synopsis Pitch: After the huge success ofย Dom’s 11, they up the ante, continuing the heist movie idea, but putting it in a wartime situation. Theย Fast and Furious team is recruited by the US Military to turn the tide of whatever war we happen to be fighting at the time, or one with some fictional country if we want to make it a little less serious.

ย

Fast and Furry-Us

Trying to avoid the unlucky number 13,ย Fast and Furry-Us is a major departure for the series.

Synopsis Pitch:ย Theย Fast and Furious team gets animated, as the franchise makes them all talking animals in a farsical flick. Dominic is a Rhino, Letty is a Rabbit, Tej is a Gecko, and one of the other Walker brothers voices Brian the dog.

ย

Fast Catorce

Fast and Furious 14 embraces its multi-cultural roots withย Fast Catorce.

Synopsis Pitch: The fourteenth film flips the script. In an adventure that takes them through Central and South America then eventually to Spain itself, Spanish is the primary language of the film. Michelle Rodriguez is the lead actor, as Letty is team leader in an adventure trying to find Dom, who has been taken. The international jaunt adds in new characters, including Diego Luna as the villain, and whoever is the hottest young Spanish-speaking actor of the moment, launching their Hollywood career.ย

ย

F15: Just Plane Madness

F-15, one of the most famous fighter jets of all time, is too good to not use as a title.

Synopsis Pitch: Aside from one opening chase scene, there are virtually no cars in this film; instead, it’s almost entirely planes, dogfights, probably a shot of Dom wing-walking in order to get inside another jet, something insane like that. Basically, think about theย Fast and Furious version ofย Top Gun. Bonus: Tom Cruise makes a cameo, flying circles around them.
