Norwegian Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju has joined the cast of the next Fast & Furious movie.

Vin Diesel is returning to star as series lead Dominic Toretto, along with cast mates Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham. Fast 8 will be directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton).

Hivju will play an intimidating henchman for the film's primary antagonist. Charlize Theron has been rumored for Fast 8's villain role, but there's been no official confirmation from the studio or Theron.

While best known for playing Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones, Hivju has also appeared in films like M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth, Universal's remake of The Thing, and the foreign film Force Majeure.

Fast 8 is expected to be the first major Hollywood film to shoot in Cuba.
