Fast & Furiosa!
According to Deadline, the eighth film in the lucrative Fast & Furious franchise will have a sole female villain and Universal has its eye on an Oscar-winning actress for the part.
"Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray and screenwriter Chris Morgan are inserting a fierce female villain into the script," sources tell Deadline. "They are said to have their eye on a particular actress, too — Charlize Theron, whose gritty performance in Mad Max: Fury Road, certainly was a welcome force in the multiple Oscar-nominated George Miller film."
As far as Deadline can tell, Theron's schedule appears to be free to shoot Fast 8, but there is no guarantee that she'll take the "juicy" role.
Fast 8 will land in theaters April 14, 2017.
