Winter has come for Dubrovnik. Game of Thrones has resumed filming in the location, offering some fun and surprising moments for fans nearby.

Stars of the hit HBO series Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Hafpor Bjornsson (who play Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, and The Mountain, respectively) were spotted on the set earlier this week.

On Thursday, filming continued in the Old City on a set built in front of the Domican Monastery, using a snow machine to bring the grey, wintery feel to King’s Landing. That’s right — winter has come for King’s Landing. However, the most important factor here is that Jamie and Cersei are together. They will have reconcile the loss of their son which Cersei is largely to blame for. That said, Cersei was last seen sitting on the Iron Throne to conclude Season 6.

According to the report from The Dubrovnik Times, filming in Dubrovnik concludes on Friday but, rumor has it, the stars have already left the city. This would indicate pick up shots and B-roll footage of a winter covered King’s Landing will be taking place.

Game of Thrones has 13 episodes left in its series, heading into its eight episode Season 7 which will arrive later than usual in 2017.
