Build-A-Bear Workshop’s line of Pokemon plush is expanding again with the addition of the fiery Charmander.
Charmander is one of the original 150 Pokemon, and all these years later has remained one of the most popular, alongside similar icons Pikachu, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. The fire type Pokemon, who later transforms into Charmeleon and then Charizard, will be getting his own Build-A-Bear Workshop plush, and it will come in two forms.

The online exclusive Charmander will come with his own sound chip, a hoodie modeled after the Great Ball, a hoodie-themed after fellow Pokemon Lucario, and an exclusive Charmander Pokemon TCG card. It’s important to note that the Lucario hoodie and the sound chip aren’t available in physical stores, and are only available online. The exclusive edition will retail for $61.00.
The standard version will just include the Charmander plush along with the exclusive TCG card and will retail for $28.00. The Great Ball hoodie will also be purchased separately for $12.50. You can view pictures of the entire set in the gallery, and you can pre-order one here.
This is the third in the Build-A-Bear Workshop Pokemon set, as they’ve already released a special edition Eevee and Pikachu. Eevee is still available on the site and includes a special cape, a Pokeball Sleeper, a 5-in-1 sound chip, and an exclusive TCG card. Pikachu is also still available and comes with a Poke Ball hoodie, a Charizard hoodie (online only exclusive), a 6-in-1 sound chipset, and an exclusive card.
As to who will be next, there are so many choices it’s hard to pinpoint, but at some point, it seems highly plausible fans will see the other starter Pokemon sooner than later.
The online exclusive Pokemon Charmander set is available starting today, and the Great all Hoodie and standard Charmander plush will be available at all U.S., U.K., and Canaday stores starting on December 8.
