Ser Pounce

In what is sure to be disappointing news for fans of Game of Thrones' newest cast member, Ser Pounce, it seems there are no plans for the cat to return, at least not in Season 4, according to Entertainment Weekly. Ser Pounce is King Tommen's cat who playfully interrupted Tommen and Margaery touching moment/sly seduction scene in the latest Game of Thrones episode, "Oathkeeper." The royal cat's appearance caused a social media explosions because cats tend to provoke that kind of reaction from the Internet. In the books, Ser Pounce is actually one of three cats gifted to Tommen by Margaery. The young king becomes very fond of them and they show up in multiple chapters. Maybe we just won't be getting to those chapters in this season? Fans can hope. Meanwhile, Ser Pounce didn't seem entirely pleased with the shows' decisions, threatening to storm HBO Studios with his own army in a Twitter exchange with Entertainment Weekly's James Hibberd. Ser Pounce then tweeted a reassurance to his followers that he would return, because who else would kill the dragons? Hopefully this doesn't spark a War of Five Cats. Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on HBO.
