Star Trek's Zoe Saldana And Zachary Quinto Face Off On Lip Sync Battle

Actors Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto will be teaming up once again in this year's Justin Lin directed Star Trek Beyond sequel, but the pair is looking to get some early aggression out through the art of Lip Sync.

Quinto and Saldana will be appearing on Spike's Lip Sync Battle (created by Jimmy Fallon and John Krasinski) on June 9th at 8pm, and will be pulling out all the stops to claim top honors. From the preview trailer (via Entertainment Weekly) it looks like Quinto's weapon of choice is donning a Missy Elliot inspired getup for a rendition of the artist's hit "Get UR Freak On".

Saldana calls in some favors for her number and is joined by TBoz and Chilli, and is spot on look-wise in her interpretation of TLC's Left Eye. Their catalog is so vast, it's hard to pinpoint which song they'll do, but I'm sure Waterfalls would rank pretty high on many a fan's wishlist.

The episode is a special one-hour affair, which will be followed by the 10th Annual Guy's Choice Awards.

The two continue the promotional push for Star Trek Beyond, which recently debuted a new trailer that lifted many fans expectations of the upcoming third entry in the series. In addition to Saldana and Quinto, the film brings back stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, and Anton Yeltsin. It's also the debut of Idris Elba in the franchise, who plays Krall in the film.

Star Trek Beyond hits theaters on July 22nd.
