One of The Big Bang Theory’s stars noted that next season could be the show’s last. Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj Koothrappali on the hit CBS sitcom, told a crowd at the MCM Comic Con in London that he doesn’t know what the plans are for future seasons of the show. “Next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of Big Bang Theory,” Nayyar said. “To be completely honest, I know people are going to want to know what happens after season 10. However, Nayyar also stated that he has no problem if the show continues for quite some time. “If it were up to me personally, I would love to do the show as long as you guys would have us on the air,” he told the crowd.

Nayyar also jokingly added that Jesse Eisenberg, Nayyar’s current co-star in a London play, guest starred on the show, The Big Bang Theory might get an eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth season.

The Big Bang Theory remains one of the most popular shows on broadcast television. The show was the second most watched show in the United States last year, trailing only Sunday Night Football on NBC and averaged over 20 million viewers.Although the show remains a ratings juggernaut for CBS, there have been several scuffles between the network and cast.In 2014, Nayyar and Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowitz, nearly delayed production of the eighth season when they demanded a significant pay increase.
