The Miz Retains The Intercontinental Championship At Extreme Rules

The Miz retained in the Fatal Four Way match at Extreme Rules to retain his Intercontinental Championship.

With the odds stacked against him, The Miz walked out of the match at Extreme Rules with the title belt still in his possession. He fended off Sami Zayn, Cesaro, and former Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. Owens broke up several counts and looked like he had the won the prestigious title for a third time for a moment, but Miz was able to pin the Swiss Superman Cesaro to retain the the title just as Zayn had went to break up the pinfall.

This is Miz's fifth IC title reign, having won it from Zack Ryder after WrestleMania. He celebrated with his wife, Maryse, as he left the ring.
