In what is possibly the biggest plot twist coming from the set of Fast & Furious 8, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Hobbs character is playing the role of soccer dad and using a spiritual dance to rally the girls to victory.

"We are performing the Hakka," Johnson explains. "The scene opens up, it's my daughter, a soccer team, and we are looking to win the game so we perform the Hakka." The ritual is one which is very near and dear to many hearts, so Johnson and company made sure to pay it the respect it deserves. "It was blessed by our elders," Johnson says.

The crew brought in an expert on the ritual to teach the girls how to pull it off for the cameras. "My biggest role here was to make sure that spiritual aspect was embedded into the people that we are teaching," says Layne Hannemann.

For F. Gary Gray, who is directing the upcoming blockbuster, it was a welcome change of pace on the Fast & Furious set which has been shrouded with action and explosions. "This is one of my favorite moments in the movie." Gray says.

Fast & Furious 8 is set for release on April 14, 2017.
