This Sunday on The Walking Dead, fans will finally get to meet Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan and his trademark bat Lucille. Unfortunately for them, someone else is bound to meet Lucille up close and personal in the episode as well.
For Morgan, the Negan character is a chance to do something different, and he couldn't be more excited for fans to see it. When he spoke to Entertainment Tonight, he touched on that a bit.
"I don't know if the fans are going to be ready for it, to be honest with you. When you do what I do for a living, you want to do as many different things as possible and I love the challenge of this character," Morgan explained. "I think it is going to be a great challenge for me as an actor."
While he's ready for fans to see the character in action, he's also prepared for the negative as well.
"I am excited and I am ready," Morgan said of Negan's future. "I really I can't wait to kind of step into those shoes, and hold that bat, and do my thing. I am looking forward to it."
"I am fully prepped for hate mail and everything else," he said. "So bring it."
That last part sounds like something Negan would say.
