The Guardians of the Galaxy actor shared nothing beyond the photo and the #F8 hashtag, in stark contrast to co-star Dwayne Johnson’s post earlier in the week, which came with a good deal of commentary about his character, where he finds himself, and the future of his part in the franchise.

The last few installments in the series have been heist films, but the Fast 8 director has said the new film will have a fresh take. A portion of the film might also be set in Cuba, although it will also film in New York, Iceland, and more.
Fast 8 is reported to be the first installment in a trilogy that will end the decade-old franchise, although there has been talk of spinoffs and solo films, which could keep the Fast & Furious brand alive even without the entire cast reuniting for “one last job” every few years. Johnson, in particular, has expressed an interest in doing solo adventures with his character, Hobbs.
Diesel stars in the sequel alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Eva Mendes, and more. F. Gary Gray will direct. Fast 8 is expected in U.S. cinemas in April 2017, and is in its second week of production now.
