It looks like that early Power Rangers rumor turned out to be true, and fans will need to get their wallets ready!

A few weeks ago it was revealed that a Dragonzord Funko POP made its way onto some palettes, with the rumor being that the super-sized POP would find its way to New York Comic Con. Funko broke the news via original Green Ranger Jason David Frank, which is especially fitting since it is his Zord after all.

Frank announced that the Dragonzord POP will be coming courtesy of Toy Tokyo, and will be available exclusively at New York Comic Con. Now, it’s important to note that the POP Toy Tokyo is debuting there will be a special “Black and Gold” version of the iconic Zord. Nothing was mentioned about a standard green-and-silver version, so expect information on that to come out at some point soon.

A black-and-gold version does sound pretty slick, and it’s a variant style that Saban likes to apply to their Zords. If you want to get your hands on the variant, you’ll need to head to Funko’s booth #722 to pick it up at NYCC. No price was announced, but just know these will be in limited supply.

As for Jason David Frank, he will be appearing at New York Comic Con as well. Fans can head to Toy Tokyo’s booth #588 from Thursday to Sunday, where you can have the Green Ranger sign your brand new POP purchase if you are so inclined.

The Dragonzord will be the second supersized Power Rangers POP to be released. The classic Mighty Morphin Megazord was the first and was highly coveted at San Diego Comic-Con. You can still get one mind you, but expect to pay upwards of $70 to add it to your collection.

DC and Star Wars

Funko will also have plenty of comic offerings in their lineup, including perhaps the most iconic superhero of all time in Superman. The First appearance Superman POP will feature the costume from Action Comics #1, and while it is a repaint of the previous Superman they released as part of their Legion of Collectors box, the POP is still worthy of picking up if you can.

The Dark Knight will also be available, though this latest Batman will be part of the 8-Bit POP line. The POPs are all given 8-Bit makeovers, but there will be a black chrome version of the standard Batman available as well.

A three pack featuring King Tut, The Riddler, and Mr. Freeze from the ’60s series will also be up for grabs, as will a Batman and Batmobile pack styled after their action figures series.
