Los Angeles District Attorney's Office announced today, former Power Rangers Wild Force and Power Rangers Samurai star Ricardo Medina Jr. was arrested and charged with murder.

In February 2015, Medina fatally stabbed his roommate Josh Sutter with a sword, though, Medina claimed it was out of self-defense. According to him, Sutter burst into his bedroom while the two had been engaged in an argument about Medina's girlfriend.

Medina was quickly arrested, but several days later he was set free as the L.A. County D.A.'s Office declined to press charges at that time. After a lengthy investigation, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office now believes they have sufficient evidence to charge Medina with one count of murder. If convicted, he could face up to 26 years in jail.

"Medina is set to be arraigned Tuesday at the Antelope Valley Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court," reports Variety. "Prosecutors will ask that bail be set at $1 million."
