The hype is building for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first of the official Star Wars spinoff movies. All week long Lucasfilm has been teasing fans with glimpses and peeks at Rogue One‘s second trailer, which is set to debut today (at the time of writing this) during the primetime Olympic Games broadcast on NBC.

As you can see above, these latest teases give us a taste of the mission that the rebellious Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her ragtag band of cohorts will embark on – a mission that takes them straight to the heart of a super weapon that will come to determine the balance of The Rebellion.
We also get a further taste of those cohorts Jyn will be fighting alongside, including martial artist Chirrut รmwe (Donnie Yen), Clone Wars character Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) new droid character K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) and our villain, imperial Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). The full trailer will of course expand upon the roles of these respective characters, along with the other players – like those played by Mads Mikkelsen and Warwick Davis – who are part of the mission.
Oh, and there’s this guy known as “Darth Vader” we hope to see make an appearance. No big deal.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters on December 16th.
