Radio host Triple J had Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Ben Mendelsohn in his studio and did just what the world was calling upon him to do: get the actor to quote an iconic children’s movie villain.

During Mendelsohn’s visit to the studio, he was asked to recite a set of lines while an ominous tone played behind his voice. As it turned out, the lines belonged to Scar from The Lion King. While the original Scar voiced by Jeremy Irons was enough to make kids quiver, Mendelsohn’s take makes those now-grown-up kids and makes them wish they still had that diaper strapped on.

“Enemies beware,” Mendolsohn started. “I’m gonna be the main event like no king was before. I’m brushing up. I’m looking down. I’m working on my roar. No one saying do this. No one saying be there. No one saying stop that. No one saying stay here. Free to run around all day. Free to do it my way. I just can’t wait to be king. I just can’t wait… to be king.”
It’s a truly terrifying rendition of the iconic villain from the animated 1994 movie. With a live-action reboot on the way in 2019, maybe there’s room for Mendelsohn to use this effort as an audition.
