When Fear the Walking Dead returns for its third season, the stakes are raised higher than ever before. Although the feud has subsided which was going to see Walker’s Native American clan take over Broke Jaw Ranch, the hidden truth of Jeremiah’s fate leaves the Clark family at the mercy of Troy and Jake learning what really happened.

With the two groups living together at Broke Jaw Ranch, the tension will inevitably build until another action-packed sequence sees the strongest and smartest come out on top. One character who has been preparing for such an event is Alicia Clark, a young girl taking after her mother by readying herself for fights.

Alicia actress Alycia Debnam-Carey teased a bit of what we can expect from her character when the AMC series returns in September while talking to ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic Con. Check out the full interview in the video above.

“Alicia’s trying to find some sort of stability and that comes to assimilating to the the Ranch and developing the alliance with Jake and relationship of sorts,” Debnam-Carey said. “Of course, that will inform what she’s doing in the second half of the season when she’s doing a lot more manual labor of it.”

“We’ve done some really, really cool stunt stuff which is in the latter half of the season which I can’t really talk about but there are some great new places for the infected to be hiding that we’ve never done before.”

Alicia’s alliance with Jake may be torn down should he discover the truth of his father’s demise. Rather than the suicide it has been framed as, the audience knows Nick Clark to have pulled the trigger.

“They’ve done a really cool job of the investigation into it and how both of them respond to the secret. They both know something’s up,” Troy actor Daniel Sharman said of his and Sam Underwood’s Jake characters. “The unraveling of that and then the consequences of that unraveling are what propelled a lot of the action of the last half.”
