Fear the Walking Dead founds its stride in its third season, earning praise from critics and fans alike, just as its showrunner departed and a new pair took charge.
In Season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead, Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss will serve as showrunners with The Walking Dead‘s executive producer Scott Gimple stepping in as an executive producer. At Walker Stalker Con, Victor Stand actor Colman Domingo explained to ComicBook.com how the shift in leadership behind-the-scenes is an exciting new chapter for Fear the Walking Dead.

“It just keeps raising the bar,” Domingo said. “It’s an opportunity for us to keep driving our narrative, shifting the characters, taking even bigger leaps forward and I think it’s a nice passing of the baton. They’re so versed in The Walking Dead universe, as well, but they understand how unique our show is. They also understand how unique our show is and the perspective, whether it’s the color palette and the characters, and how to hopefully maintain that. I look forward to seeing where we go.”
Still, fans of Fear the Walking Dead have no idea whether or not Domingo’s Strand will be there based on the massive cliffhanger which concluded Season 3. In fact, everybody but Madison might be dead. Still, the actor is excited to get back to work when the opportunity presents itself, though he is not ready to reveal whether or not Strand makes the cut for Season 4.
“Everybody’s gonna know at some point whether somebody survived or not because they’ll have to get back work,” Domingo said. “You never know, though. Even if, suddenly I say I’m gonna get back to work, you never know if we’re gonna do backstory scenes or something like that. You never know because we like to mess with your head a little bit!”
