The second half of Fear the Walking Dead‘s second season hasn’t proven too dangerous for our core characters through three episodes.

That said, the stakes continue to be raised week after week as new groups are coming into the mix and the core group is showing no signs of reuniting. Instead, they have each managed to find new friends (or possibly foes) south of the American border while safety and sanctuary remain the top priority with death lurking at every corner.
Last week, Travis and Chris ran into a group of young Americans, Nick continues his new life with the Tijuana squad, and Madison’s bunch have run into trouble by taking in Elena, who recently pissed off a certain wedding party. Some of the characters are evolving and adapting to the new world around them while others are grasping on to old ways of life which may prove costly.
So, who is in danger and who is safe heading into Pablo & Jessica?
Madison- Danger. Madison is the hot pick to die in Fear’s second season. Her loss would be a shocking turn of events for Fear which would force evolution upon her daughter. Acting erratically may cost her to never see her son again.
Strand- Danger. Talking isn’t helpful when you’re trying to persuade the dead. Though more of a quick thinker than most around him, he also appears to be the guy willing to make a sacrifice or tough decision for others.
Alicia- Safe. Alicia’s survival skills are quickly reaching the next level. She has gone from 0 to 100 faster than Drake, if 0 means terrible decision maker and 100 means bad-ass survivor.
Ofelia- Safe. A transformation is coming for Ofelia. While Mercedes Mason teases it will either be one welcoming death or one bearing it on others, the latter seems more likely.
Nick- Safe. A lot of story is going to come from Tijuana and Nick is going to be driving it.
Luciana- Not in danger, not safe. The best equipped to survive but quickly becoming attached to Nick. Love never ends well in the apocalypse.
Travis- Danger. Reluctant to adopt a kill-to-survive attitude, Travis is in danger not only because of the threats the post-apocalyptic world presents to him but his son is unpredictable and dangerous. However, sidelined for Pablo & Jessica.
Chris- Safe. Even being unpredictable and dangerous, Chris acts quickly and does what it takes to survive. Like Travis, Chris is sidelined for Pablo & Jessica.
