While last night’s epic finale had its ups and downs, there’s no denying that fans of The Walking Dead now have a new favorite character. In the most intense moment of the episode, just when all seemed lost, Shiva came onto the scene and tore some Saviors to shreds.

Seriously, watching a giant tiger rip off the face of Negan’s henchman was one of the most jaw-dropping scenes in the history of The Walking Dead.

While many assumed that tigers are just all instinctive and badass, a couple of fans did have a big question regarding the scene.

How did Shiva know which guys were bad, when hasn’t ever met most of the people on the battlefield?

One of these folks reached out to Khary Payton on Twitter to ask that very question. The actor – who portrays King Ezekiel on the show -had a hilarious response to the inquiry.

He quoted the initial tweet, and responded by saying, “I draw pictures of the bad guys on flash cards & quiz her before battle. Obviously.”

Could there have been a more perfect response?

Fans of the show have come to know Payton has an enormous and fun personality, and this is just another entry proving that to be true. The thought of the King sitting down with his tiger, going over hand-drawn pictures of Saviors is hilarious. As people were calming down from the episode, Payton gave fans something great to share a laugh about.
