The network has just announced that a Walking Dead marathon leading up to Sunday’s episode, and it will begin Friday morning.

A weekend may not be enough time to watch the whole series, but AMC is going to start fans off in the middle. Instead of beginning with season one, the marathon will kick off with the premiere of season four.

The first episode will air on 10:30 am on Friday morning, and will run until the new episode premieres at 9pm Sunday night.

This is a nice gesture for fans who might have missed an episode at some point, as Sunday will air the entire seventh season of The Walking Dead leading to the premiere.

UP NEXT: Did Morgan Foreshadow Negan In Season 6?

The last episode of The Walking Dead saw Negan take Carl under his wing during their encounter at Sanctuary. After punshing a rule-breaker, Negan takes Carl back home to Alexandria. Meanwhile, Rick and Aaron are searching for supplies to give to Negan, and have come across a seemingly abadoned house boat.

The 90-minute midseason finale will see the re-appearance of Carol and Morgan, as well as another face-to-face showdown between Rick and Negan.
