The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand Is A Great Actor But Horrible Intern

The Walking Dead‘s Ross Marquand is a great actor. He’s just as good at impressions. However, he makes for a terrible intern when it comes to working for an entertainment news brand.

In a new sketch produced by Esquire, Marquand becomes an intern at the massive media outlet, serving as a talent booker looking to schedule interviews. However, the actor uses his not-so-hidden talent to get a leg up on all of the other interns around him.

Rather than booking any of the guests, Marquand will call the editors and writers and claim to have a big name celebrity like Kevin Spacey or Justin Timberlake on the line when, really, he is going to change his own voice and put on an impression for a fake interview. The editors don’t catch on (for a while) but the other interns do… and they hate him for always being on the phone and making him get their coffee!

This sketch follows up a similar one which saw Marquand’s The Walking Dead co-star Norman Reedus serve as an intern for a day at Esquire. That experiment had a similar outcome to Marquand’s day at the office.

Marquand joined the AMC series in its fifth season as Aaron, the recruiter from Alexandria who spotted Rick’s group as they struggled to survive on the streets. He guided them to the Safe-Zone after evaluating the bunch and has since become an integral part of the group, especially during the times which see a war coming against Negan. Luckily for Marquand’s employment with the show, his comic book counterpart is still clinging to life in the source material which might indicate a long run for him on television.
