Ahead of the release of The Walking Dead‘s sixth season on blu-ray and DVD, AMC has released a scene which didn’t make the TV cut of zombie drama.

Fans may have fair share of Glenn and Nicholas throughout the two seasons in which their troubled relationship played out but the new scene gives us a bit of a look at the earlier stages of their differences. Glenn emerged as a leader and someone Nicholas looked up to despite ending up a coward who almost cost Glenn his life.

The deleted scene is a good reminder of how far The Walking Dead came in its sixth season. What started as moving a herd of walkers at the quarry away from Alexandria turned into an expansion of Rick and the group’s world as they met new communities and ultimately ran into a brutal new foe. In fact, it’s a safe bet that Glenn would much rather be digging the ditches he is in this deleted scene than his current predicament with Negan.

The Walking Dead will return for its seventh season October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, be sure to follow me on Twitter @BrandonDavisBD and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.
