The war coming in The Walking Dead‘s eighth season will bring more armies to the battlefield than some may have expected.

Pollyanna McIntosh, the actress who plays Jadis on the AMC series, took to Instagram on Wednesday to tease the return of her Scavenger group introduced in The Walking Dead Season 7. In the Season 7 finale, Jadis lead a surprising rebellion against Rick’s Alexandria group after forming an alliance earlier in the season.
Though the future for Jadis on The Walking Dead was left up in the air, fans expected to see a lot more of her and the junkyard group after McIntosh was bumped up to series regular. Based on the post below, they’re going to get just that.
“Off to set to get up to mischief with this one: Sabrina Gennarino…” McIntosh wrote in the photo’s caption. “And of course Thomas Francis Murphy. Happy Heapster Day!” McIntosh went on to thank the creator of the fan art featured, which is one of the many reasons every Walking Dead fan should be following the actress if they’re not already.
Production on The Walking Dead‘s eighth season is well into the second half of the season despite a recent halt due to Hurricane Irma. McIntosh likely returned to the production prior to Wednesday’s Instagram post, though it is not officially known when her Jadis character will return.
“They’ve been very warm,” McIntosh told ComicBook.com of The Walking Dead‘s fans, even after the Season 7 finale twist which angered the actress, too. “They’ve been very creative. They’ve been bringing me dolls and gifts and they’ve been bringing they’re kids to meet me. I’m honestly just overwhelmed and it’s very emotional and sweet. They seem to be able to separate Jadis the b—-, excuse me, that they scream at the TV about from me who brings her to life but is quite nice, really.”
The return of the Heapsters likely won’t be good news for Rick Grimes as he already has his hands full in trying to take on Negan and the Saviors. Not to mention, they are heavily armed thanks to his handing over of dozens of guns.
The Walking Dead‘s sibling series Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017. The Season Eight premiere will mark 100 episodes overall for the popular AMC series. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
