It’s The Walking Dead season again which means it’s time to start putting odds on favorites to die every Sunday night.

Given the conclusion of the AMC series’ 2016 run, it doesn’t look like any characters are in immediate danger. However, when we’re talking about a show built on the mantra of “no one is safe,” it is never good to assume that a fan-favorite can’t go at an unexpected moment.

Let’s take a look who is in danger and who is safe for The Walking Dead‘s midseason 7 premiere on Sunday night.

TWD Daryl 709

Rick- Safe. Outside of the walls, most characters would be in danger. However, Rick is well equipped for most threats, assuming they don’t run into any new groups like Negan‘s.

Michonne- Danger. Michonne is among the unpopular opinion in Alexandria which wishes to take on the Saviors as soon as possible. As she heads out on her own, her plan to roll solo and take out the new villain in town puts her in danger.

Carl- Danger. Riding the first bus to Savior-town is a terrible idea. He is in a lot of danger.

Aaron- Safe. Aaron will press on, though his boyfriend Eric may run into trouble along the way.

Maggie- Safe. Currently emerging as the leader of the Hilltop, Maggie will continue to evolve and handle threats with ease, all the while playing a major role in the upcoming war with the Saviors.

Eugene- Safe. Level 2 survivor has more work to do — time to make some bullets!

Sasha- Danger. Having lost everyone in her life, Sasha is broken down and willing to risk it all to for revenge against Negan. While the battles might not start any time soon, Sasha’s action are constantly unpredictable.

Rosita- Danger. She’s a soldier who knows how to adapt but also on a course for revenge. As someone who tends to act on immediate interests rather than the grander picture’s best options, her haste may prove costly. Plus, shooting Lucille puts her on Negan’s radar.

Daryl- Danger. Daryl is going to be Negan’s number one target once it is discovered he has escaped the cell. He is equipped with skills to survive is Rick willing to let people die to protect him?

Dwight- Safe. He has some serious internal struggles going on but his following of Negan keeps him safe — at least, for now.

Simon- Danger. The right hand man doesn’t exactly pay attention to detail. Foolishness and disrespect do not do well around Negan. Ask David from the comics.

Negan- Safe. For now, Negan is still in complete control of the Sanctuary’s surrounding communities. That said, it might not last that much longer as Rick rallies soldiers.

Ezekiel- Safe. Surrounded by people ready to sacrifice for him, King Ezekiel sits safely on his throne with great power over not only his community but also Alexandria’s future.

Carol- Safe. She is still a threat to herself but Ezekiel isn’t going to let her go too far off the deep end. Plus, Carol and Daryl have to reunite sometime, right?

Morgan- Safe. Best equipped to take on threats around him and trained in disciplined fighting, Morgan does what it takes to survive and protect those around him and is willing to break his code if absolutely necessary. Is there a killing machine hiding in there?

Father Gabriel- Safe. The character has learned to accept what it takes to survive in the apocalypse and has, actually, become quite witty in his efforts. Gabriel sticks around.

Jesus- Safe. Equipped with ninja-like skills, Jesus is ready to do battle and protect himself on a moment’s notice. He is ready to introduce Rick to King Ezekiel!

Gregory- Danger. His people know he is weak, all of the Negan’s are mad at him, and there’s a certain widow after his job.

Tara- Danger. She clawed her way back to Alexandria and continues to try climbing the leadership ranks but such actions can prove costly. Being a leader means being on the frontlines and we all know there’s a war ahead.
