Six seasons in to The Walking Dead, the series has delivered several memorable moments in its time on air to date.

The show is certainly known more for its brutality and shocking death than it is memorable lines but that’s not to say there haven’t been dozens through the years. Unfortunately, Rick’s “I’m doing stuff, Lori… Thangs…” didn’t make the cut but one of his most epic speeches did top the cuts.
Be warned, spoilers follow for all six seasons of The Walking Dead as we run through some of our favorite lines on the following slides!
Who’s Deanna?
ย
Not beloved forย high quality writing or deep meaning, the first quote on our list belongs to Abraham Ford.
When the group of survivors first arrived at Alexandria, they knew nobody except for Aaron and Eric. As soon as they Alexandrians wanted to get their leader, Abraham belted out, “Who’s Deanna?”
It’s a quote the actor hasn’t lived down since the line was delivered in a preview during Talking Dead but it’s not the only epic line from Abraham to make our list.
Screwing With The Wrong People
ย
Those who arrive turned out to not actually survive. Instead, everyone who lead their groups to Terminus became part of a buffet line for the cannibals inhabiting the so-called sanctuary.
When Rick’s group found themselves backed against a wall by the Termites, the Grimes family didn’t cower and give in. Rick turned to his group, locked inside of train car and delivered an epic line to close out season four: “They’re gonna feel really stupid when they find out… They’re screwing with the wrong people.”
The moment was pulled straight from the comics and although it was censored for television, a full on F-bomb version was made available on the blu-ray set.

It’s Not Going To Be Okay
ย
Negan’sย entire introductory monologue may as well make the list but if we had to choose the most memorable bit from his rant, it has to be the last few words he said before bashing [Survivor X]’s skull in with his bat.
“You can breathe. You can blink. You can cry… Hell, they’re all gonnaย be doing that.”
Killing is just a game to Negan. He doesn’t prefer to do it but it doesn’t make him lose a wink of sleep, either.
Take It
ย
Everyone loves it when Rick gets into bad-ass mode. No one wants to follow moral-compass Rick around in the apocalypse. There are different version of aggressive leader Rick Grimes, though, and the smarter one started to emerge shortly after his group arrived at Alexandria.
Upon realizing the people of Alexandria were weak despite being held up in a well-sheltered and highly valuable location, Rick told his comrades, “If they can’t make it, we’ll just take this place.”
You could practically hear the fans applauding Rick’s willingness to conquer the Safe-Zone.
Risk Your Life
ย
Poor Hershel Greene. All he ever tried to do was help Rick Grimes and company but in return his wife, sons, and daughters were all killed. He stuck with the group, though, as long as he could.
Sadly, Hershel’s run came to end in season three at the hands of the Governor but he had a great moment of heroics in the prison as he took care of all of the sick residents. “You walk outside, you risk your life,” Hershel’s speech began. “You take a drink of water, you risk your life. Nowadays you breath and you risk your life. You don’t have a choice. The only thing you can choose is what you’re risking it for.”
Dolphin Smooth
ย
Among the best of Abraham’s Abraham-isms are lines like, “When you were pouring the Bisquick, did you mean to make pancakes,” “Bitch nuts,” “Mother dick,” “I’m just grabbing the bull by the nutsack,” and “Loose ends make my ass itch.”
However, one of his best lines was delivered to Rosita while the group rode in a car together. “I’ll let you shave me down… Dolphin smooth.”
Only Abraham can deliver such ridiculous lines so eloquently.
Stupid Anger
ย
One of the strongest women on the show has a very logical thinking head on her shoulders. In her early days on the show, Michonneย was very quiet and reserved as she mourned the loss of her family before allowing herself to connect with Rick’s group of survivors.
The character opened up a bit to Tyreeseย back in season four when the character was enfuriated by Carol actions. Michonneย could relate to anger, having recently dealt with the Governor, so she offered Tyreeseย some advice…
“Anger makes you stupid. Stupid gets you killed,” Michonneย said.
Unfortunately, Tyreeseย died anyway.
Look At The Flowers
ย
Perhaps the most iconic line from all of The Walking Dead comes from its mind blowing circumstances surrounding it.
After young Lizzie gutted her own sister in an effort to show the group zombies are not bad, Carol had no choice but to take Lizzie out of the picture considering how dangerous she was (as a heartbroken Tyreeseย stood by).
“Look at the flowers,” Carol told Lizzie before shooting her in the back of the head.
It’s a line which sends chills down the spines of The Walking Dead fans to this day.
Vast Ocean Of S—
ย
When the group started to question Rick Grimes’ leadership, one soldier stood by his side: Abraham Ford.
With his best line of the entire series, keeping in mind all of the Abraham-isms listed on previous slides, Big Red convinced the group following Rick was easily their best move.
“Simply put, there’s a vast ocean of shit you people don’t know shit about. Rick knows every fine grain of said shit… and then some,” Abraham told the group.
I’m Rick Grimes, B—-
ย
Come on, Carter. You couldn’t even avoid a lonely walker in the woods. Did you really thing you had a chance against Rick? I hope not but I thank you for prompting Rick’s best line from any episode of The Walking Dead to date.
“You really think you’re gonna take this community from us. From Glenn? From Michonne? From Daryl? From me?” Rick said before his most epic moment in all six seasons… “Do you have any idea who you’re talking to?”
The line first aired during The Walking Dead’s season six trailer in a packed Hall H at San Diego Comic Con in July of 2015 and the ceiling almost collapsed. The greatness of the line carried through when the scene played in black and white during the season six premiere.
