At a recent convention (Supernatural Minneapolis 2016) Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan took center stage for a Q&A panel with the audience. Of course, the topic of the cliffhanger came up and although he can’t give any information about how it is going to play out when The Walking Dead returns in October, he did have a chilling warning for fans.

“I can’t stress enough that if you were one of those people who were like, ‘Oh, f—ing cliffhanger…’ You’re gonna be really, really wishing that the cliffhanger had never ended after the first episode back,” Morgan teased. “So, be careful what you wish for.”

“Right now, I’m in full on villain mode and I’m having a blast,” Morgan said during the panel. He seems to have some sort of special attachment to The Walking Dead‘s biggest villain, seeing as he dresses in all black and leather jackets both on and off set, uses harsh language during panels and does his best to scare all of the fans who will be watching him come the fall.

“We’re about midway through,” Morgan says of Season 7’s production.

The Walking Dead will return for its seventh season on October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.
