Thor’s Hammer Made A Cameo In The Walking Dead

Back before Negan was locked up in an Alexandria prison cell on the pages of The Walking Dead comics, he was leading a band of savages called The Saviors. Savage as they may be, the Saviors are apparently worthy.

In issue #123, printed in March of 2014, one of the Saviors is clearly seen holding Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. That’s a bold weapon of choice. Negan’s army could’ve certainly used the God of Thunder’s powers back in the All Out War story arc. Though he never had any powers, there’s no mistake – that is Thor’s hammer in that Saviors hand.

The Walking Dead‘s writer and creator, Robert Kirkman, did put in a little time at Marvel, working on The Irredeemable Ant-Man and Marvel Zombies. The add in of Mjolnir to the pages of his best known comic is likely just the team having a little bit of fun.
