When stories go on for as long as The Walking Dead's has, many fans start to wonder how in the world it could possibly end. The TV series has aired six seasons now and the comics have published over 150 issues. Even so, the series writer and creator Robert Kirkman knows exactly how it all will end.

Kirkman played host to a Reddit AMA yesterday, in promotion of his upcoming Outcast series on Cinemax, but most questions posed to him were regarding the ever-popular The Walking Dead.

One user, by the user name of Acdc11000, asked Kirkman, "Do you have an end for [The Walking Dead] already planned out in your head?"

Kirkman was quick and concise with his response, saying, "Yes, but y'know... It's not happening for a long, LOOOOOONG time."

Many fans suspect that the series will see Carl Grimes take the torch from his father Rick and begin leading the new world but for now, and apparently a loooooong time, that is just speculation. The comic books are still quite far ahead of the TV series and with a new issue being printed every month, they will stay that way for at least a few more years.

In the same Q&A, Kirkman also teased Rick's death when asking if the character would ever die, saying he will, "eventually."

Andrew Lincoln has a vision for how The Walking Dead will end and it doesn't have anything to do with Rick's eventual death. "I think just... Maybe taking his boots off, getting in a warm bath, and watching his children frolic hand in hand through a field of daisies," Lincoln says from Rick's perspective.

How do you think The Walking Dead will end?
