Towards the end of Sunday’s Episode 7×07 (Sing Me A Song) of The Walking Dead, Rick and Aaron continued their adventure into uncharted territory despite several signs instructing them to stop.
What they found was quite surprising. The two Alexandrians discovered a house boat in a lake surrounded by floating walkers (which should probably be refered to as floaters). In any case, one has to wonder where they are.
The question of “Where are Rick and Aaron?” likely has a simple answer: somewhere new.
However, that somewhere new is likely close to the Kingdom. Rick has to discover the community which Carol and Morgan have been calling home since Episode 7×02 eventually and we just might see that happen before the midseason break next Sunday. In the comics, it was during Negan’s unexpected trip to Alexandria that Rick met Ezekiel for the first time. Knowing Rick and Aaron, they’ll likely want to get on that hosue boat to check for supplies but doing so may prove difficult. Perhaps the soldiers of the Kingdom will be on hand to bail them out.
As for what the sign said which was an attempt to keep Rick and Aaron out, here’s what it said:
My name is Leslie William Stanton and I am armed with a Ruger 10/22 (crack shot: can hit targets 70 yds+), ARS 157, (I s— you not!), AK-47, grenades (try me) and several handguns and rifels of antiquity (collector/enthusiast). You are not smart to have not listened to the first sign. You have been warned. I will not hesitate to protect my home, my food, my supplies, my ammo…The only way that you have possibly read this far without being shot is if I am dead. Have at it, a–holes.
So, we can at least conclude that whoever the house boat belongs to is definitely dead. With so much firepower, it’s hard to imagine they would let so many walkers get so close — let alone Rick and Aaron who weren’t exactly acting with stealth.
We’ll likely get to explore the location in the midseason finale on Sunday night as the many storylines set up so far in Season 7 finally all come together.
