The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has accidentally revealed the gender of his new baby!

The actor was attending a fan convention over the weekend where he was asked about his and wife Hilarie Burton’s new baby. While answering the question, Morgan slipped and revealed the crowd and world (and his wife!) that they are expecting a little girl. A fan captured the moment in which Morgan realized he slipped and the actor shared it on Instagram.

“Whoever took this picture?? Caught a moment… thank you. We shall cherish,” Morgan wrote in the Instagram post’s caption. “I texted @hilarieburton right after I spilled the little girl beans… and, as usual… she was a rockstar. After all these years she’s come to expect me to be a dope… thank god she gets it, and loves me regardless.”

Morgan went on to thank the New Jersey crowd and his Supernatural family for being so supportive.

Morgan joined The Walking Dead in the show’s sixth season, being introduced as Negan for the Season Six finale. Through The Walking Dead‘s seventh season, Morgan’s character took the forefront of the series as he bullied Rick Grimes and the rest of the survivors into submission. Heading into the eighth season, though, Negan will have his hands full as he tries to retake control of the apocalypse after being chased out of Alexandria in the Season Seven finale.

Burton is best known for her role as Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill but has also appeared in The Secret Life of Bees, Surprised By Love, and White Collar. She has most recently worked on the Lethal Weapon TV series.

The Walking Dead‘s sibling series Fear the Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017. The Season 8 premiere will mark 100 episodes overall for the popular AMC series. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
