The leader of the Scavengers may be one of the most interesting The Walking Dead has introduced in years. Not only does Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis speak in short, unconventional sentences but she always has a plan — one which has earned her Scavenger group living at the heap a few years worth of survival in the zombie apocalypse.

Having betrayed Rick in favor of the group which she though was better suited for a battle, Jadis might just flip flop now that Negan and the Saviors have been chased out of town. McIntosh revealed an interesting take on Jadis’ perspective of the Alexandrian and Savior leaders to ComicBook.com on the set of the show’s 100th episode.

“I think she has a lot more respect for Rick than she does for Negan,” McIntosh said. “You can’t make choices based on that, you know, in this world. Negan is not a cool guy and I don’t like the way he’s running things either. So I think there’s room for things to switch again.”

Of course, McIntosh was upgraded to series regular for the upcoming season, meaning fans can expect to see more of her in the new episodes. Speaking with ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview which will premiere on Thursday’s The Walking Dead special episode of ComicBook Now at 7 pm ET, McIntosh offered a bit more insight to Jadis’ big decision.

“Negan is also the scarier option to screw with,” McIntosh said. “Because we could lose a lot more of our people from Negan than we could from Rick, we think. At that point at the end of the season finale of seven. So yeah, he’s a sort of safer bet, plus he gives us more stuff.”
