Gaining a pair of new showrunners and The Walking Dead's Scott Gimple as executive producer will only help Fear the Walking Dead in its fourth season, according to its stars.

Madison Clark actress Kim Dickens revealed her perspective of the upcoming changes while talking to ComicBook.com at Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta. While she does not have the same insight for Season 4 as executive producer Greg Nicotero, she is ready for the challenge presented by the new creative team.

"Everything's a mystery to me," Dickens said. "We have no idea what's gonna happen. I'm just looking forward to... Change always happens. Change is a little hard for us. It's a constant. We just gotta show up for it."

Victor Strand actor Colman Domingo sings a similar tune, though he goes into a bit more detail about what makes Fear unique by comparison to The Walking Dead and how he hopes to maintain those elements. "It just keeps raising the bar," Domingo said. "It's an opportunity for us to keep driving our narrative, shifting the characters, taking even bigger leaps forward and I think it's a nice passing of the baton. They're so versed in The Walking Dead universe, as well, but they understand how unique our show is. They also understand how unique our show is and the perspective, whether it's the color palette and the characters, and how to hopefully maintain that. I look forward to seeing where we go."

As for whether or not Domingo's or anyone else's characters survived the Season 3 finale of Fear the Walking Dead, the actor suggests everyone will find out sooner than later. "Everybody's gonna know at some point whether somebody survived or not because they'll have to get back work," Domingo said. "You never know, though. Even if, suddenly I say I'm gonna get back to work, you never know if we're gonna do backstory scenes or something like that. You never know because we like to mess with your head a little bit!"

Fear the Walking Dead returns for its fourth season in 2018. The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
