The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman Says Goodbye to Series, Characters, and Fans
On Wednesday, Robert Kirkman called it a "wrap" for The Walking Dead comic series. The 15-year saga telling what was labeled as the "never-ending" zombie story was abruptly finished with shocking finale. On the heels of killing its lead character Rick Grimes, only one triple-sized issue would come along to show fans and long-time readers how the remaining characters would end up.

In the back of The Walking Dead issue #193, Kirkman replaced the typical Letter Hacks section with one long message for his readers. Knowing there will be questions and emotions, the series creator addressed his decision to conclude the book and acknowledged those who helped it become the multi-billion dollar global phenomenon it has.
