Riverdale: Anatomy of a Murder Featurette And Clip

The latest Riverdale featurette has supervising producer Michael Grassi previewing tonight’s “Anatomy of a Murder” episode, which he wrote. Plus, The CW has also released a sneak peek.

“In the last episode, FP Jones, Jughead’s dad, was arrested for the muder of Jason Blossom,” Grassi explains in the video above. “While the entire town of Riverdale is currently relieved that Jason’s killer has been caught, our core four — Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead — are suspicious of this arrest. They’ll sort of take it upon themselves to figure out what’s really going on and put themselves into some dangerous situations to figure out what’s behidn this arrest and what really happened to Jason.

“One of the great scenes in this episode is we have all of our kids and all of our parents in the same room,” he continues, “and sort of the kids are going to the parents and sort of pleading their case that they think FP Jones is innocent.”

As for the clip, which you can watch directly below, it starts with Cheryl upset in the bathroom. Apparently, she went after Jughead after finding out that his father was arrested for the murder of her twin brother. Betty reminds Cheryl that it isn’t Jughead’s fault even if his dad did do it.

Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) are shocked to learn of the arrest but know they need to come clean to their parents about what they uncovered.Still hurt by the betrayal of his friends and torn over who to trust, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) reluctantly joins them in a quest for truth.Meanwhile, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) confronts her mom about why she treats her so much worse than she ever did with Jason. Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry, Madchen Amick, Marisol Nichols also star.

Riverdale stars KJ Apa as Archie, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camilla Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Luke Perry as Archie’s father Fred Andrews, among others. The series’ showrunner is Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Archie Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer and the writer of Afterlife With Archie, the publisher’s wildly popular zombie series.
