There are just two weeks left until the second season of Stranger Things is released on Netflix, but you won't have to wait nearly that long for more new footage from Hawkins, Indiana.

On Thursday morning, the official Stranger Things Twitter account shared an eerie teaser that mimicked the trailer from the horror classic, Friday the 13th. At the end of the video, it was announced that the next full trailer for Season 2 would be released on Friday.

The original teaser for Stranger Things Season 2 came back in February, during the Super Bowl. Hype around the second installment continued to build until July, when the first full trailer was unveiled at San Diego Comic Con.

At the end of Season 1, the mystery around Will Byers' disappearance had been solved, and the child was finally reunited with his family and friends. However, while he was safe from the Upside Down, it was revealed that something had followed him home.

The new season will focus much more heavily on Will, and the strange effects that his time in the supernatural world of the Upside Down had on him. In addition to all of the returning cast, Season 2 will also include the likes of Dacre Montgomery and Sean Astin.

Netflix will debut all nine episodes of Stranger Things Season 2 on October 27.
