For the first time in nearly a decade, you can purchase Hardy Boyz merchandise from the WWE. Matt Hardy revealed the new merch on his Twitter page with the slogan “Reborn By Fate.”
One of the biggest questions surrounding the Hardy’s return to the WWE has been whether or not they would be able to use the “#Broken” gimmick that turned them from a nostalgia act into a cult favorite. Impact Wrestling is still making legal claim to the use of the Hardy’s “broken universe,” which has put the Hardy’s new employers in a bit of a bind.

So far, WWE creative has been very strategic in how they’ve presented the RAW Tag Team Champions since their return at WrestleMania. While Matt appears mostly as a hybrid between his new and old characters, the Hardys have used their old theme music and have yet to really cut a promo to give away their standing.
Without being able to legally use the Broken name or any of the catchphrases that may have been trademarked with it, the Hardys will now have to either completely revert to their old Team Extreme selves or find a way to rebrand their Brokenness.
Could the “Reborn” title signify that we will get to see a WWE version of the Broken Hardys or does it mean the exact opposite?

Matt has been playing both sides of the fence on Twitter, releasing messages as Broken Matt and then minutes later the same tweet as a Version 1 of himself.
Can The Hardys maintain their feel-good momentum simply as a nostalgia act? As we suggested last week, a big move in the Superstar Shake-Up could be WWE’s answer to the problem.
