A huge shake-up is headed to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it's coming much sooner than most may think.

Executive Producer Maurissa Tancharoen let it slip that "After the midseason finale, things will never be the same again…" in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Her discussion, along with fellow executive producer Jed Whedon, covered most of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second season so far. While the executive producers provided some extra context to prior happenings, they also offered another tease or two for the episodes ahead.

Chief among them: Viewers will finally learn Skye's real name, which is still  a mystery, much sooner than they are expecting. Also, Fitz, who fried his brain through hypoxia/anoxia during the Season One finale, will be extremely tempted to restore his mind with the powerful memory machine. While the machine helped Agent Coulson reclaim his normal personality, the process was an extremely painful and trying one.

It will be interesting to see what "big changes" Tanchareon may be referring to. It could just be hype. But, the show is known to pull 180s, like it did with Hydra following Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Maybe Coulson and his team will stumble upon the hidden city, or encounter some members of the Kree? Those would certainly be game-changers.

Of course, everyone's just counting the days now until an Inhuman shows up. Viewers will get their answers soon enough, though. The midseason finale, "Ye Who Enter Here," airs on December 2nd after taking a bye week during the week of Thanksgiving.
