Man Changes Middle Name To Deadpool, Drives Around Dressed As The Character

Joy sometimes comes from the oddest places.

Case in point, numerous Deadpool sightings have recently occurred in Houston, Texas, where someone who looks an awful lot like the sarcastic mercenary has been seen riding a motorcycle around the city.

ABC 13 caught up with the man in the mask, who's real name is Evo Gambino.

"I'm a Specialist in the United States Army, been in for eleven years, deployed to Iraq in 2009 and 2010. Father of two."

Gambino has a middle name as well, and you guessed it, it's Deadpool as well. As to why he legally changed his middle name, it came down to simply a matter of "why not?"

"Why not?" Gambino said. "Maximum effort! Go big or go home!" he laughed. "I pull up, either rev the engine or just wait. I kind of get a crowd coming to me."

One day Gambino decided he needed a getaway from the ups and downs of life, and becoming Deadpool was his solution. It doesn't hurt that locals seem to get a kick out of seeing him out and about, and he always makes sure to snap a few pictures with the crowd.

"It's just -- take a break from reality and see something that you normally would only see in the big screen," he explained. "You can actually look out your vehicle window and see it right next to you. It makes them happy, which makes me happy. Even though I'm in the helmet and you can't see my face," Gambino explained, "I'm smiling ear to ear the whole time."

Hopefully wearing the costume also comes with a chimichanga discount.
