It was reported Thursday that Disney and Lucasfilm are rumored to be searching for a young actor to play Lando Calrissian in future Han Solo: A Star Wars Story franchise. Having already announced casting the young Han in actor Alden Ehrenreich earlier this summer at Star Wars Celebration Europe, having Han's smooth-talking partner-in-crime along for the ride seems like a good bet.

While Donald Glover is reportedly the frontrunner for the role, there is another entertainer that wants a shot at the role: WWE's own Xavier Woods.

Woods, real name Austin Watson, is a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion and the host of his own YouTube channel Up Up Down Down so the man has his own impressive nerd pedigree. Woods is also the first celebrity currently vocally lobbying for the role. Now, it's unlikely that Woods will have the chance to don the sky blue cape of the future Baron-Administrator of Cloud City, but an audition couldn't hurt at all. Maybe he could bring even more positivity to the role.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to hit theaters on May 25th 2018.
