The Walking Dead #130

For the "All Out War" storyline, The Walking Dead comic book series went to a bi-weekly publishing schedule. When the "A New Beginning" storyline started, The Walking Dead comic book series returned to a monthly published schedule.

However, it appears as if fans might can expect some hybrid of the bi-weekly and monthly publishing schedule going forward. In the letter column for The Walking Dead #129, creator and writer Robert Kirkman teased that the series would occasionally release two issues per month in some months, such as in October. Here's what Kirkman wrote in response to a fan's letter suggesting that he couldn't wait 4 weeks for the next issue.

The real bummer of "All Out War" and the accelerated shipping schedule is that people now complain about our MONTHLY schedule. Thanks to Charlie (just being honest) this book has been on time like clockwork for four years? Five? I don't know when the last time we shipped late was… but it's been a long damn time… and with no fill-ins.

Honestly, we should be throwing Charlie a parade every month… not complaining the book doesn't come out MORE often!

That said, we'll be shipping two issues in October… and if Charlie doesn't kill me, we'll try to do that from time to time… because we love you guys.
