Pokemon Go appears to be prepping their ultimate raids for release. A Redditor recently shared a screenshot of a supposed Level 5 Raid "test," which popped up on their Nearby Raid screen. According to the post, which was made on the Silph Road subreddit, the Pokemon Go player discovered the test while playing in Southern California near Disneyland.

In the picture, you can just make out five whited out Rhydon heads (which represent the level of a raid) underneath the Raid's picture and caption. However, the Raid's boss appears to be a Flareon as opposed to some sort of Legendary Pokemon...which makes sense as Niantic probably didn't want to draw too much attention to these tests.

This isn't the first "Test Raid" to pop up around the world. Two weeks ago, another Pokemon Go player reported a similar Level 5 Test Raid in the United Kingdom. According to the player who found that Raid, it disappeared from the nearby screen a few minutes later.

The fact that one of these Tests occurred in the UK far away from Niantic's headquarters suggests that these aren't "live" tests in which trainers actually compete and battle, but rather are some sort of internal server or software test.

The Level 5 Raids will likely involve Legendary Pokemon. Niantic has hinted at introducing Legendary Pokemon to the game several times this summer, and a new ad hinted that their arrival is imminent.
