Atlus has a pretty good line-up of games going for the PlayStation 4 right now, amongst other consoles. But there appears to be a big Tokyo Game Show surprise that the company is about to spring on us.

That surprise could be none other than a PlayStation 4 port of the action/role-playing game Dragon’s Crown, which initially debuted in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. In it, players fight their way through a number of scenarios, while leveling up with new goods and interacting with different characters in a wide-open story.

According to Hachima, a banner recently appeared on the NicoNico stream page featuring a character from Dragon’s Crown, along with a PlayStation 4 classification. It apparently ties in with a forthcoming stream that the publisher will be hosting Sunday on the platform, and that could be where we see the game for the first time.

The translation of the banner indicates “PS4 Dragon’s Crown Pro” along with “Pre-Orders for Limited Edition Version Begin!” So not only are we getting the game on PlayStation 4, but Atlus could very well be planning a special edition with bonus goods, although they haven’t been confirmed just yet.

The banner has since vanished, but it looks like the Dragon is out of the bag with the surprise.

The game, developed by Vanillaware, was a big cult hit back on the PS3/Vita platforms, with its distinctive art style and fun gameplay. So it would make sense for Atlus to bring it back, especially with online features and possible new characters thrown into the mix.

We’ll let you know what’s announced during the live stream on Sunday, but we’re expecting all sorts of details, including a list of features and a potential price point. Hopefully we’ll see the game on these shores as well, just like the original Dragon’s Crown did. Considering that Atlus previously released Odin Sphere Leifthrasir for PS4 and PS3, there’s definitely a market for the game.

For now, you can check out the original Dragon’s Crown for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. It’s definitely a gem that’s worth digging up again, especially if you’re waiting for the PS4 version.
