The X-Files Reboot Series Being Considered By Fox

“It’s been reported, and it’s true, that we’ve had some conversations about [reviving] X-Files,” ideally with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, Fox Television Group co-chairman Gary Newman said at the Television Critics Association. “But I have nothing that we can announce at this time.”

Fans have long wanted a third feature film to bring more closure to the franchise, and IDW Publishing has had a critically-acclaimed run with The X-Files: Season Ten, a comic that picks up where the franchise left off.
