AMC’s Preacher is based on the Vertigo Comics series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. After Custer, a small town preacher, becomes possessed by a heavenly creature with power to rival God’s, he sets out to find the Almight and hold him responsible for everything He has and hasn’t done.
The series will co-star Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Ruth Negga as Custer’s fiery girlfriend, Tulip, and Misfit’s Joseph Gilgun as Custer’s Irish-vampire best friend, Cassidy.
The series is being created and produced by Rogan and Evan Goldberg.
