We got our hands on the set which is currently sold-out online. Our advice: find a Lego Store near you before overpaying for the set from a second hand site.

The set includes three Lego minifigures. Unlike other Lego Super Hero lines, you get each Lego Ant-Man minifigure in just one set which is relieving. Of course, we get our Scott Lang Ant-Man figure which looks great. It’s a basic minifigure, the only extra bit is the helmet which at a glance looks similar to an Ultron head, but overall has great detail and paint to satisfy tough critics.
Second, we have our Yellowjacket figure. This is one of the coolest minifigures since Rocket Raccoon and his huge gun. His helmet just rocks and it takes multiple pages of instruction to build up Yellowjacket’s exo-suit. It’s completely poseable and equipped with two launchers.
One of the big surprises of the set is it contains a Hank Pym figure in it’s own Ant-Man suit. A dark, black Ant-Man suit which in Marvel Cinematic history, usually indicates a bad guy. Why would Hank Pym become a bad guy?
The flying ant has great detail as well. The wings looks fantastic and it takes some time to assemble. With somewhat articulating legs and teeth, it’s a good addition to the Lego collection. It even has a spot on top for Ant-Man to mount his loyal steed and fly off into the sunset…or do battle.
One of the most creative part’s derived from the brains over at Lego comes from an extra detail tossed into this set. They provided a 1x1x1 red brick and a 1x2x.5 yellow brick and then have you build up a giant-sized 1x1x1 red brick and 1x2x.5 yellow brick to display next to the figures and make them look ant-sized, just in case the giant ant wasn’t enough!
This set has a great value. For $19.99, 183 pieces is about average, but the creativity of the set and addition of three new characters to your minifigure collection make it completely worthy of purchasing. They are three of the best minifigures to date, especially Yellowjacket. To get your Lego Super Heroes Ant-Man set, you can check the stock on the Lego website or find a Lego store (or other toy retailer) near you.
