Margot Robbie Kept The Rat From Suicide Squad Co-Star Jared Leto

Jared Leto (Panic Room) is so committed to The Joker role that he sent Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), who is playing Harley Quinn, a live-rat. Last we heard on the rat, Jai Courtney revealed that it ended up with filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy), but it seems he got a knockoff rat.

Elle spoke with Robbie and she clarified that she's embraced Leto's unusual gift like her Suicide Squad character would have and even gave it a name.

Named Rat Rat. ("Original!" says Robbie.) It was given to her by Jared Leto, or rather, Jared Leto's character in the upcoming Batman flick Suicide Squad, in which he plays the Joker. Several crew members suggested killing it, but Robbie kept the rat because, "If Harley [her character in Suicide Squad] got something from Joker, she'd probably cherish it." Rat Rat now dines on organic berries from Whole Foods. - Elle

Suicide Squad is set to be released August 5, 2016.
