Okay, so it’s not exactly a surprise: when you ask an actor if his superhero can beat up someone else’s superhero/villain, I’d say there’s a 99.99999999999999% chance they’re going to say yes. But MTV asked anyway when talking to Dave Bautista at the Spectre press tour, specifically asking him if his character, Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, could beat his pal (and fellow former WWE Superstar) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming character, Black Adam from Shazam! in a fight.

“Drax. Without a – yeah,” he said with a slightly incredulous laugh. “Did you ask him the same question? Just curious. But yeah, I gotta go with my guy Drax.”
As for what’s coming next for Drax, Bautista somewhat jokingly said, “I put in my two cents with Marvel, that I thought Drax needed a few more tattoos.” He laughed, then said ultimately it’s up to “the powers that be” what’s done with Drax. Of course, given that the makeup process, and fitting Bautista with the plastic molds and tattoos took anywhere from two to four and a half hours, it’d be more likely that he wants less of the red sketches on his body.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is filming soon in Atlanta, GA for a May 5, 2017 release. See where it, and Shazam, falls on our full comic book movie release schedule.
